The White Stuff

1 min read25

Can you see the white stuff? It stuck with me for a long time and it'll probably only get more.

Imagine having all the white stuff sticking around from age 10 (at least, that's when I started becoming a bit more aware of myself). Like, a 10-year old kid having white stuff sporadically on his head.

"Premature greying does not have any ill effects in terms of the health of the child, but greying of hair may indicate some other problems in the body. It can also have a psychological effect on your child." - FirstCry

Did it have a psychological effect on me? Yeah!

Fortunately for me, I've learned to attach positive values to them. Such as maturity, wisdom, knowledge... and with these attached values, I grew up thirsting knowledge and understanding.

While others were busy covering theirs up, I was proud of mine.

And as I am getting older, this "genetic flaw" doesn't draw as much attention compared to my childhood days... but the thirst for knowledge was never completely satiated.

Just as people need to drink water on a daily basis, I'm always on learning mode.

What kind of personal flaw have you had as a kid?
