Do You Believe in Yourself?

2 min read10

I frankly did not want to share this story...

"Do you believe in yourself?" I asked.

"No," I answered.

That was my conversation with myself today.

And here's the strange part: For 12 consecutive months, I completed 3-day water fasts. I can earn a certification to teach adults. I can perform on stage, support friends, and show up for family. But I cannot believe in myself.

I didn't want to share this because it's the truth that haunts me. Somewhere along the way, seeds of doubt took root - and no matter what I achieve, it whispers: "I'm not good enough."

So, I am making a choice. Instead of giving up, I am committed to #KeepTryingUntil.

And I am unashamedly (though still doubtful) asking if you are free to join me in an online Zoom session. On 23 September 2025, I'll be sharing a 30-minute talk titled the "Best Kept Secret of Storytelling" on Zoom with two other aspiring speakers.

And honestly? I still feel paralyzed and limited. My doubtful mind is screaming: "No one will come. You'll waste their time. This will lead nowhere." But my hopeful side is still fighting.

That's why I'm asking: Are you free from 7:30pm to 9:30pm SGT on September 23rd? You don't need to speak, you don't need your camera on - just being there matters.

I'm the final speaker, and this happens to be the last seminar in this format. What I'll share has been years in the making, compressed into 30 minutes.

If you'd like to join me - despite my doubt, despite my fear - comment "Story" or PM me for the free registration link.

Because maybe the brave thing to do is simply showing up... even when self-belief is lacking.
