Thank You for Your Birthday Wishes, My Final Year in My 30s
Thank You for Your Birthday Wishes on My Final Year in 30s~
I'm not much of a birthday celebration kind of guy, and I spent some time with my brother on my 39th birthday.
For those who have been asking, some quick updates...
Good stuff:
- His eye infection has recovered
- Able to speak phrases with effort
- Able to steady himself upright
- Able to eat soft, solid foods
- Able to feed himself to a certain degree
- Financial assistance for him approved, so that will be helpful to alleviate caregiving costs
Ongoing challenge:
- Memories are jumbled up since the fall
- Doesn't always remember who he is
- Left side of body still extremely weak
- Energy level fluctuates, mostly very groggy
- Still trying to get approval from authorities to get the full-time caregiver
I started today co-hosting a 3-hour class from 8am, then I promptly took a nap before going to the hospital.
He looked alert so today, I got him to re-watch the 1st 3 episodes of Chainsaw Man. He looked forward to watching this together with all 3 of us brothers before the accident.
My youngest brother and I paused watching until he's back with us but I figured it'll be good entertainment for him to catch-up the ones we've watched already.
As I write this in the shuttle bus back to the train station, my mother is now with him and he's having dinner.
I, on the other hand, am making my way to meet some friends to have a get together with some other March babies too.
They've been very supportive of everything, and I'm glad to have friends like them.
And also, thank you for reading this far!
