Thank You for Standing By Me

Thank you for standing by me, dear friends...

But another unexpected news came from home.

See... Immediately after my last post, I attended the Nas Summit Singapore by Nas Daily.

Surrounded by discussions on dreams, consistency, and content creation, and meeting friends from all over the world --- Germany, Italy, Taiwan, Finland, the Philippines, Malaysia --- my mind lingered on regrets.

What if I could turn back time?

Could I have done things differently?

Then I remembered: the future is unwritten. I still have the power (and time) to make better decisions now.

Your messages, advice, and prayers reminded me of this. Some of you shared your own stories privately, others offered opportunities, and many simply reconnected to show support. I'm deeply thankful for each and every one of you.

Though I felt defeated, I am not.

In the midst of all this, something unexpected happened.

My father, a proud and stubborn man (guess where I get it from), started work as a cleaner.

This was shocking because I remember him hating the idea of cleaning work.

Today, before he left for work, we had lunch together, and I walked him to the train station. I told him: "Dad, you said you hated cleaning work, but you're still doing it."

He replied simply: "I have to. I'm not doing enough."

Hearing this broke me a little.

He still feels like he's not doing enough.

I told him: "Dad, you're doing great. You know how our family is. Each of us takes care of ourselves, except for Luke. But if we all handle our own responsibilities, we're doing well. I'm proud of you."

He taught me through action --- humility and hard work.

Financial fortune hasn't yet smiled on our family, but we've done everything we can to manage.

And I'm thankful that, because of your support, I've found work starting next year.

I've also enrolled in the ACLP course to upskill myself, following your advice.

2024 sucked. Really. But the journey isn't over. I will #KeepTryingUntil I reach my goals.
