I'm Uncertain About the Future
Truth be told... I'm uncertain about the future.
For the past few years I've been teaching as a freelance trainer at the Nas Academy.
Coaching, training, and serving many others on their journey to become creators.
I've learned a lot and played a small part in helping aspiring creators share their journeys, experiences, and lessons on social media.
Nas Academy gave me the chance to connect with incredible people, but as the company shifts focus, its educational programs are pausing.
It's something many of the trainers, myself included, have seen coming.
We're not full-time employees, but as trainers, we give our 101% to every student under our care.
Students come from different time zones so many trainers often have to change their schedules to work around the class sessions.
It helps pay the bills but there's never been any guarantee there will be work.
Seeing this shift, I took the leap to start coaching and educating others on my own.
For a while, it worked.
But the past few years have been rough --- facing challenges beyond my control. The growth I was expecting never did come to fruition in spite of my efforts.
So, personally, I'm also putting a pause on teaching and will be stepping into learning.
By God's grace, I've found work and have just completed my 1st month with them.
Alongside work, I'll be diving into a part-time course on evenings and weekends --- the learning continues.
Entering my 4th decade, I can't help but feel the weight of time --- standing at what feels like the halfway mark of life's journey.
The joyful hope I've had for my future is being... challenged.
But despite it all, I'm still pushing onward.
And I will #KeepTryingUntil.
