Easter 2021: The One
Blessed #Easter to you! Grateful to be part of City Harvest Church’s Easter 2021 drama production titled "The One". In case you haven't watched it yet, here's the show.
Though this was a short production, it wasn't lacking on impact as we've received encouraging support from many people.
The #chcdm ministry members were super supportive in our group chats and the outpouring of love only made me miss the gathering to serve God in this amazing ministry even more.
Truly honoured to be able to serve God in this capacity and I always look forward to it.

2026 Aug 26 Post Production Update
This production had the bare minimum crew, as I recall.
Due to the COVID restrictions that were still in force, group gatherings were extremely limited and rehearsals had to be done with only the people involved.
So for most parts of the show, I actually have little idea other than what was on the script.
For this year’s show, one of the things I’m thankful for is that I didn’t need to show my body since it was certain that we couldn’t walk amongst the crowd.
There were still restrictions, firstly. There were no tiers or back entrances for me to enter from. And lastly, everyone was encouraged to stay at home and catch services online instead.
And since there’s already a seriousness to the entire atmosphere in Singapore, the script was intentionally made to be one that’s lighter in nature.
It was so light that, I think I memorised the script within the 1st few rehearsals.
Again, due to restrictions, a lot of the scenes were filmed and recorded instead. Therefore, during tech runs, there was quite a bit of standing around since I was showing Jamie flashbacks.
After playing through all the flashbacks, Jesus would then speak to Jamie. Helping her remember what she forgot, and what made her so strong.
Initially, there was a different ending for the show. I can’t recall what it was but I vaguely remembered that it would involve a lot more work.
I came up with the suggestion to “send her back” with a gentle nod, while she falls backwards… she’s caught by the angels on earth - the paramedics and the people who work in ambulances.
Giving the crucial 1st aid for the critical moments.
It was only a brief period of earth but in heaven, time flowed differently.
And she is then resuscitated back to life. And I smiled in the dark.
As I rewatch this, I am reminded about my brother.
After this show, later in the year, he would have a fall outdoors and no one would be around to help him until much later.
He didn’t get that crucial first aid that might very well have saved him from the 2nd and 3rd stroke.
He had been found by a passerby who called the ambulance but by then, his clothes were wet because they were soaked by the rain and he had been bleeding from his head.
Is it God’s will that my brother had to go through 3 strokes in 2 years?
There were many questions but I submit myself to His plans.
I pray that my brother finds refuge in the Lord.
No matter what, God has always been there.
